Terms of Service

Cognostra membership is billed monthly on an ongoing basis with no fixed end date. Membership costs $19.99 per month and gives you access to the full problem library, AI coaching on every submission, automated scoring across eight dimensions, a position on the public leaderboard, a verified record you can share with employers, and a Cognostra email address. All features are available from the moment your first payment is processed. Your membership continues indefinitely until you cancel or it is terminated under the terms described below.
To keep your record in good standing you must submit solutions to your assigned problems as they arrive. Each time a new problem is assigned your previous one should be submitted. If two or more assigned problems go unsubmitted your membership moves to On Hold status. While On Hold your record displays as On Hold to anyone who verifies your code. Submitting and clearing the backlog restores your active status automatically.
Persistent inactivity over several months will result in automatic cancellation. At that point your record is revoked and your leaderboard ranking is archived. You are welcome to reapply at any time but your previous submission history and record status will not carry over to a new membership.
Any problem submissions you make on the platform become the property of Cognostra for the purpose of improving our scoring systems. We use anonymised submission data to refine how solutions are evaluated and to ensure scoring remains fair and consistent across all members. Your submissions will never be attributed to you publicly or shared in any identifiable form outside the platform.
Certain behaviours are not permitted on Cognostra. You may not attempt prompt injection or any other manipulation of the AI scoring and coaching systems. Sharing problem content publicly whether on social media, forums, or any other channel is prohibited. Each person may hold only one account and creating multiple accounts will result in all of them being terminated. Automated submission of solutions whether through scripts, bots, or any other non-manual method is grounds for immediate cancellation without refund.
Cognostra is a platform for developing and demonstrating problem solving ability. While we believe that a strong record and leaderboard ranking can support your career we make no guarantee of employment outcomes. Your results on the platform reflect your performance within our scoring system and should not be interpreted as a promise of any specific professional opportunity.
We may update these terms from time to time as the platform evolves. When we do we will notify you by email at least 30 days before any changes take effect. Continuing to use Cognostra after that notice period constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with any changes you may cancel your membership before they go into effect.
